The lady of the La Perla is Guillermina (Gigi). Gigi is constantly traveling, however if you are lucky enough to be here at the same time she is, she may sing for you some of her favorite Mexican ballads.
Gigi's son and his partner now manage La Perla. One or two people from the La Perla staff normally go out with our guests the first couple nights to help them become comfortable. Everyone says that the personal time we take with our guests, really helps make more out of their vacation when they are here for only a week. |

WEATHER
Guadalajara has the 'best climate in the world,' statistics constantly confirm this statement. The temperature is stable throughout the year. The average daily temperature is in the low 70's in the winter, and in the high 70's—80's in the summer.
Being semi-tropical, it is described as 'perpetual spring.' The weather is a product of its nearly mile high altitude (over 5000 feet) and its latitude, which is the same as Hawaii.

GETTING HERE
International Airport Pickup - The airport is outside the City, about a half-hour drive from the Centro. We offer round-trip pickup and return, ask for details.
La Perla is located at Prado #128, in Colonia Americana. A nearby landmark is the University of Guadalajara at the corner of Enrique Diaz De Leon and Vallarta Streets. We are one block west of the University between Vallarta and Lopez Cotilla. |

TRAVELING WITH MONEY
We recommend ATM machines, which are everywhere. Call your bank before leaving the U.S. If you bring Traveler's Checks or American dollars, you will be able to exchange them into pesos. |

Our Rooftop Terrace is the perfect place for a relaxing afternoon in the sun. There is a great sound system on the Terrace to enjoy as you relax and take in the sun.
Plans for a pool, hot tub and sauna are in the making for future visits. |
